It’s exponential!— With a staff equivalent to one and a half full-time people, JHI engages hundreds of healthcare professionals, who educate thousands of medical care providers overseas, ensuring the provision of improved healthcare to hundreds of thousands of people.
Some call that a ripple effect—We call it Jewish Healthcare International.
Established in 1999, Jewish Healthcare International’s (JHI) mission is to enhance and improve quality and access to healthcare services for vulnerable communities throughout the world. A not-for-profit, non-sectarian organization, JHI brings together healthcare volunteers from the United States and Israel—a collaboration that provides long-lasting relationships between participants, a commitment to the State of Israel, and the legacy of Tikun Olam (repairing the world). JHI focuses on the former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, Israel and areas stricken by disaster. With a proven record of success, JHI helps thousands of impoverished community members gain access to healthcare while simultaneously improving the quality of healthcare available for the entire city being served.
JHI volunteers serve in the Former Soviet Union, Israel, the US and other global locales.
