Haiti: Evaluations from Training at Justinian University Hospital
In September 2012, over 180 health care professionals from Justinian University Hospital as well as other hospitals in Haiti attended JHI lecture sessions. Subjects taught included basic CPR, EKG interpretation, asthma, triage, hypertension, abdominal pain, trauma team functions, and mass casualty events.

Israel: Next stop WIZO Nahalal Youth Village
WIZO Nahalal is JHI's next Youth Village destination. In November, volunteers Pediatrician, Danielle Stage, Ophthalmologist, Don Werner and JHI Deputy Medical Director, Roger Brick arrive in Israel and will spend 5 days screening 230 youth village youth for vision and hearing problems. Danielle stays on for a Pediatrics rotation at Poriya Hospital. |
